Community supported farms up and down the country are celebrating their autumn harvests with special events in September and October linked to the CSA Network UK farm open day on October 1st
Community supported agriculture (CSA) is a radical approach to the production and supply of food that builds strong, close and mutually beneficial partnerships between communities and producers.
Events already planned include:
- Farnham Local Food are opening their farm gates for a fun family day out. Pick your own pumpkin for Halloween!
- Future Farms Martin near Fordingbridge will be doing farm tours: meet the piglets, feed the chickens and pick your own raspberries.
- Southern Roots Organics in Dorset will be holding a CSA Autumn Harvest Day: there will be a squash hunt for children and squash soup available for lunch.
