Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss has announced a new approach called 'Open Environment' which she says will help improve our environment.
In a speech she outlined plans to streamline administrative functions in Defra for example HR as well as devolving decisions to the 'most local level possible', and making better use of voluntary organisations and citizen science.
