Responding to today’s publication of Jamie Oliver’s ‘Feed me even better’ manifesto, Charlie Powell, Campaigns Director of the Children’s Food Campaign, said:
“We welcome Jamie’s continued interest in and support for good food in schools, particularly at a time when there’s a risk of declining standards due to Government neglect.
We hope the manifesto will remind the Government of the need for continued investment in our children’s food at school. For example, it is vital that the Department for Education gets it right when introducing new criteria for free school meals, and retains practical cooking lessons on the school curriculum.”
