Sustain and other food campaigners celebrated at CWT awards this June

Sustain is up for Charity Food Campaigner of the Year, with winners announced at the Caroline Walker Trust awards ceremony next week in London.

Sustain is delighted to attend the The Caroline Walker Trust awards this year, which, according to the trust, recognise ‘the hard work food campaigners have done over the years and their the outstanding achievements to improve our food and enhance public health’.

Taking place Monday 12 June, at the Royal Society of Medicine in London, the evening will commence with a drinks reception followed by speeches and Annual Award announcements for Charity Food Campaigner of the Year, for which Sustain is nominated, as well as Nutritionist of the Year, Freelance Nutritionist of the Year, and Lecturer of the Year. They will also announce the Lifetime Achievement Award to recognise outstanding nutrition professionals and the Nutrition Student of the Year award.

This year, the theme is on Food Sustainability, with speakers including Professor Tim Lang, CWT President, Joanne Trewern, Head of Consumption and Sustainability at WWF and Dr Margaret Ashwell, Founder of SENSE and former Chair of the Association for Nutrition.
