It’s not something that many of us like to think about but might you consider leaving a financial gift to the Real Bread Campaign after you’ve gone?

Sustain, the food and farming charity that runs the Campaign, has published notes to help you think through the possibility, including how to support us when writing (or adding a codicil to) your will.

Any legacy you leave (either a set amount or a percentage of your residual estate) would be used by Sustain in accordance with Sustain’s good governance policies, as overseen by the charity’s board of trustees.

When making a bequest, you can specify that your preference is for Sustain to use it for Real Bread Campaign activity.

To be clear, we’re not asking for anyone’s entire estate, complete with all goods and chattels, or their kids’ inheritance. We just wanted to throw our hat in the ring as an option for a small slice of whatever charitable giving you might do, after taking care of who and what else you need and want to.

We also understand this isn’t for everyone but thank you in advance if you do give it some thought.
