The survey was conducted by Kidsfruit, a division of Minor Weir and Willis Ltd, a major supplier of the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme. The scheme provides a free piece of fruit or vegetable to 2.3M children in KS1 in16,600 state funded primary schools in England each school day. • Supports social wellbeing and mental health
  • Encourages them to choose fruit as a healthy snack
  • Children ask for fruit in the classroom
  • Teaches the children to eat healthily all day in school
  • It is a leveller in the classroom
  • Could be the first thing that they eat in the morning
