Record numbers of primary school children are reported to be leaving school obese and research found that children from deprived areas are at a higher risk of becoming overweight. Increasing access to healthy affordable food has never been more important.

Greenwich Cooperative Development Agency (GCDA) has been facilitating fairly-priced fruit & vegetable stalls in some of London’s most deprived since 2003 to help those families who might otherwise struggle to access healthy affordable food.

Anyone interested in finding out about how to set-up and run your own fruit & vegetable stall can join the seminar; it will take you through all the steps needed to set up, from conducting market research, to working with volunteers, to financial advice and getting appropriate food hygiene training.
