Defra’s Open Data ‘revolution’

Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss has outlined Defra's plans for open data and it’s use in agriculture. 

Defra plans to release 8000 datasets by next summer, 1000 of which will be on farming - for example data on the health of cattle, sheep and poultry and the condition of bee hives.
