New fishing restrictions for sea bass

New restrictions on commercial and recreational fishing of sea bass will come into effect from the 1st September 2015.

Sea bass are in long-term decline due to overfishing. These new EU restrictions will include monthly catch limits for commercial fishing vessels and a minimum catch size of 42cm to allow female fish to grow to spawning age.  Support our Sustainable Fish Cities campaign.
