Leading an ambitious citizen-driven transition of the European food system towards a low carbon, circular future.
To ensure access to safe, healthy, nutritious and affordable food that can nourish our communities as well as our planet, we need a shift towards more plant-based, resilient and localized food systems.
Bringing together 30 partners, 7 municipalities, 8 SMEs, 8 NGOs and 7 research institutes from across 12 European countries, FoodSHIFT 2030 is putting citizens at the centre of place-based food systems change in a novel approach to scale-up, multiply and share the best food innovations European communities have to offer.
Sustain is a partner organisation in the project, contributing to FoodSHIFT’s mission of multiplying the impact of learning. Our role is focused on helping facilitate the transfer of knowledge and solutions among participating organisations and regions, as well as beyond to the wider community of food systems actors across Europe.
