Defra celebrate barley deal

Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss has announced a trade deal 'worth up to £100 million for UK farmers'.

Defra say growing demand for beers and ales in China have led to a trade deal of around 750,000 tonnes of British barley being exported to Chinese breweries over the next five years. Truss is leading a delegation of 80 UK food and drink businesses to China to boost UK exports there.
