Defra happy to see pork exports rising

Global UK pork exports have risen 44% in the last five years, Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss has announced.

Defra said the pork industry had been given a 'significant boost' since the UK government opened up pork trade with China in 2012. China is now the biggest export market for our pork, with £30 million worth being shipped there every year. See how Sustain are campaigning for better food and farming policies.
