Germany follows Scotland's lead on GM crops

The German Agriculture Minister has told officials he will seek to use the EU's opt-out to prevent GM cultivation, according to documents seen by news agency Reuters.

The news from Germany follows an announcement by the Scottish government on the 9 August that they would use the EU opt-out to ban growing GM crops in Scotland.
